I strive to ensure you feel safe, comfortable and heard along every step of the therapy process. We will typically start with a brief phone consultation to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and how our work together can help you find relief and grow, as well as how we can establish a productive and rewarding therapeutic relationship. After we determine we are ready to begin counseling, we will schedule our first session.
During our first session together, I will work to understand your past experiences and your current goals. Later, our sessions will take on their own unique form, depending on your immediate needs and the way you would like to work toward your ideal future. Throughout our counseling sessions, I will also focus on helping you build inner strength and resilience in order to help you overcome potential future obstacles, either on your own or together with your partner.
Alternative Meeting Arrangements
For added convenience, if you are unable to meet in my office, I offer online therapy sessions. In addition, since I have a background in wilderness therapy, I am open to holding our sessions outside. Since this is a more cutting-edge form of therapy, you will need to make sure that your provider covers this type of session if you are hoping for reimbursement.
Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card at the time of the session.
I do not accept insurance or payments through an Employee Assistance Program, but I can provide you with receipts to submit to your insurance provider.
I ask that you provide me with at least 24 hours of notice if you are going to cancel an appointment for a session. Cancelling a session fewer than 24 hours in advance will result in a charge for the full amount of the session—with a notable exception for emergencies.
